Albania offers a wide range of possibility in the development of mountain tourism, thanks to the intact landscape, where strong contrasts between valleys and ridges reach up to 2000 m above sea level. Natural values, local population culture, lifestyle and culinary traditions emerge as competitive advantages. Increasing demands in these localities have brought the need for accommodation and growth of private economic initiatives (inns, trade, bioproducts, etc.). In order to be developed and presented even more widely for the originality it carries, this local system needs support

Within this framework, these areas are a priority of the Albanian Government with a focus on access and interconnection, for which the ADF is implementing a series of investments in order to bring closer all these destinations and their great tourist potentials.

We started in the south and now we are in the last Lot for the reconstruction of the 24 km Vlora River road, consisting of a branch that connects it with Kuc, and another that will connect Tepelena with the Vlora River road. And these are exactly the Kuc - Gusmar and Lekdush - Bence axes, investments that will bring mountain tourism to life. But there is more. “Permet – Carshove” road, part of the road segment “Tepelena - Korca – Kapshtica” will be reconstructed.

An important segment for movement and transport from East to West and vice versa. To be further extended throughout Albania, where you will also find “serial interventions” in the north of the country, Tamara, Koplik - Dedaj, Qafe Thore - Theth. Unique areas that will be reached faster through modern infrastructure. Transformation of old houses into guesthouses or construction of rural hotel facilities are some of the preliminary plans of residents or entrepreneurs, which will be implemented with the completion of these projects.
