Tirana- The first presentation of the program RWSP was held in Vlora. The program foresees intervention and improvement of the potable water supply network.
The Rural Water Supply Program IV has a geographical coverage in Himara Municipality and Orikum Administrative Unit.
The intervention is planned in Himara city, Kuc village, Buronja, Pilur, Kudhes, Vuno, Jal, Livadh, Himara Fshat, Qeparo.
The project foresees interventions for the water supply system in Orikum, extension of the sewer system in the AU of Orikum, repairs and additional measures for the existing plant in this unit.

Representatives from: CES consulting company, Himara Municipality, Orikum Administrative Unit, KfW (German Development Bank) and Albanian Development Fund, which is the main implementing agency assisting local units, were part of this meeting.
The RWSP IV program is funded by KfW and the Albanian Government, with an investment value of EUR 45 million. The cooperation with the local units, as the primary stakeholder group was emphasized during the meeting. Stakeholders expressed their support for this investment, as well as some suggestions for all stages of the project.
The consultancy highlighted the Visibility and Communication Plan so that local residents can be informed directly about all developments.
The program is expected to provide a sustainable solution for potable water supply and low cost for 80,000 residents and tourists who frequent these areas
