Work on Saranda staircases has been finalized, meanwhile the project for the promenade is ready

TIRANA- Staircases of Saranda rehabilitation of the town's symbolic communication arteries has been finalized. The treated area is 5,200 m² connecting the town with the seaside promenades. Civil works started in December 2017 in the framework of an ambitious investment package of 13 million Euros. The package of investments is being implemented by the Albanian Development Fund on behalf of the Albanian Government in the framework of the "Integrated Urban Development and Tourism Development" Program.

The project includes interventions in the electrical network system, sewage system and construction of the staircases with white stone and ceramic. In the framework of this project were organized public consultations with representative from local government, urban planning specialists, interest groups, locals, etc.


Meanwhile, the next investment in Saranda is the reconstruction of the promenade "Naim Frashëri", in the city center. Regarding this project were organized public consultations with representatives of local government, interest groups and locals.

The final project will be presented at a public meeting in the coming weeks.The project of “Naim Frasheri" promenade includes the extension of the promenade, recreational spaces, resting benches, greenery and appropriate lighting system.

The study for the mobility and urban development will determine the next interventions in the framework of the “Integrated Urban and Tourism Development” Program.
