Civil works are progressing intensively from Perroi i Durresit area up to the Administrative Unit of Golem in Kavaja.

 TIRANA-Work continues for the rehabilitation of Shkembi i Kavajes area. The latter is a highly frequented beach area throughout the whole year.

The project is implemented by the Albanian Development Fund on behalf of the Albanian government in the framework of investments for tourism development.

Civil works are progressing intensively from Perroi i Durresit area up to the Administrative Unit of Golem in Kavaja.

The project foresees the reconstruction of the exit routes that lead to the sea, sewage network, sidewalks and underground lighting system, creation of urban and recreational areas and greenery.

The aim of the project is to improve tourism landscape, increase activities for locals and tourists, and improve services offered in this area highly frequented by tourists.

 

The project also foresees the construction of 3500 square meters for parking spaces.

Shkembi i Kavajes beach is frequented not only in summer but throughout the whole year by many tourists. This investment of the Albanian government will improve the welfare of locals and tourists. There are approximately 25,000 people who will benefit from this investment and many tourists.

In the recent years Durres has experienced a boom of tourists.

Durres is a package full of attractions with beaches, cultural monuments and archaeological sites.
