Tirana- The biblical event that inspired Da Vinci for one of his most famous works has been the subject of Dalmatia painters 200 years ago at the 800-year-old church ‘Shna Prendës’ (Shën Premtes), in the administrative unit of Balldren.

There are frescoes in the church since the 13th century. The last supper is the most special as painters have expressed their perception of this event liberated from religious dogmas, according to scholars.

This cultural monument will be easily accessible to tourists as the reconstruction of Balldre - Bend Road is proceeding at a rapid pace. The investment funded by the Albanian Government for the complete reconstruction of this axis will have a direct impact on the 10 thousand inhabitants of the administrative units of Torovica, Balldre, Malecaj, Red Rock (Shkëmbit të Kuq) and Kolajaka.

The development of infrastructure aims to promote the development of agritourism and cultural and natural tourism. St. Paraskevi’s Church is just one of the many attractions the area provides.
