The project foresees intervention on 40.9 km long axis and intends to improve its movement conditions as well as gives a strategic dimension for further development of tourism in the Lura region. This road serves not only to residents of the area, but also all local and foreign tourists.

The road starts at Perlat village, Mirdita Municipality and ends at Fushe Lura, Diber Municipality. The starting point of the axis is at intersection of Perlat-Urake segment and ends on the way out to Fushe Lura village.

Currently, the infrastructure at Lura village is depreciated. In the project, it is envisaged that the area will be revitalized while it will be equipped with all necessary infrastructural elements for an urban area.

Through the reconstruction of the axis, Albanian Development Fund will ensure improvement of regional connectivity and ease access towards touristic attractions on the region, which will expand touristic offers and create further opportunities for sustainable economic development on the region. The reconstruction will significantly impact on traffic quality and safety of movement and the project will be implemented on the existing road footprint.

To sum up, in the following will be shown all proposed interventions in this project:

Construction of road asphalt layers

Construction of substrates;

Road drainage solution;

Construction of retaining and receiving walls;

Construction of culverts and works of art on the street;

Vertical and horizontal signage;
