Albanian Development Fund is working in the area of Bogova. In the last couple of years, it is seen a considerable increasing number of tourists. The village of Bogova can be listed among the most potential touristic attractions for locals and foreigners. Bogova is part of the Skrapar District and located in the Bogova Administrative Unit, lying between mountains and greenery all year long. The touristic village of Bogova is situated at an attitude of 265 m above sea level and it consists of 9 villages (Bogova, Novaj, Bargullasi, Nishova, Kakruka, Dobrusha, Perparimi, Selani and Jahupasi) with about 2500 inhabitants.

In contrasts to depopulation process that has taken place in the area of Skrapar, where 70% of the population moved to urban areas, Boga experienced population phenomenon. Since 1990, the number of inhabitants is increased, recognizing the values of nature and good opportunities of tourism.

Bogova otherwise knowns as the entry gate of tourism in Skrapar and every year around 50 thousand tourists visit it. While tourists visit Berati, they also have a tour around Bogova. Today, there are 9 businesses placed in this area, whilst in the whole unite are positioned 20 businesses in total such as hotels, restaurants and bars. Given the high number of visitors, a standardized public infrastructure would be a great support for tourism. The rehabilitation of the centre became a necessity in order to provide a systematic and functional the area, as its position in connection with the national road is an important route for residents and tourists.

When heavy rainfalls are present in this area, there is a tendency of considerable danger to businesses that are on both sides of the river. Therefore, the systemization and discipline of waters is listed among the main objectives of the project.

Furthermore, the systematization of the surrounding territory will be carried out, where will be placed a pedestrian in function of the community but also it can be used for manifests of traditional resources of the area. The waterfall of Bogova is part of the project, which it is known for its unique characteristics and features.
