The rehabilitation of “Muzak Topia” road to Berat Castle is part of the investments that are being implemented by the Albanian Development Fund under the project “Integrated Urban and Tourism Development”, funded by the World Bank through the Albanian Government. The technical project, drafted by the Municipality of Berat and approved by the World Bank, foresees the rehabilitation of the existing vehicle road, the segment from the roundabout at the former state reserves to the lapidary in Kala, as well as the segment from Lapidari to the church of St. Ilias, Berat, including the improvement of:

-Access to residential quarters through intervention at existing access points and crossings
– Placement of walking paths with trees
– Reconstruction of all elements of infrastructure such as (sewerage, drainage channels, etc.)
- Parking for buses and private vehicles

The public consultation for the Environmental and Social Management Plan for this sub-project in the town of Berat was organized at the Berat Municipality, on February 22, 2018. Minutes of this meeting are included as an annex to the final Environmental and Social Managemetn Plan
