The above named client intends to use part of the proceeds of a loan from/grant administered by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (the Bank) towards the cost of the above named contract(s).
Additional financing information:
The Albania Infrastructure and Tourism-Enabling Project “the Project” is financed by the European Union through technical assistance and investments grants for a total amount of EUR 40 million, and by complementary sovereign loan facility provided by the EBRD to the Government of Albania. The Project is implemented by the Albanian Development Fund as executing agency (the “Client”) and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (the “Bank”). The EU grants are identified by the EU in close cooperation with the Albanian Development Fund. Grant Recipient is: Republic of Albania.2. Information on the Procurement Exercise
Contracts will be subject to the Bank’s Procurement Policies and Rules and are open for participation for firms from any country, unless otherwise specified in the procurement documents.

3. Other Information
The project will be developed in Rozafa Castle, which is part of the Municipality of Shkodra. The geographical position and the peculiarities of the natural conditions the territory of the municipality of Shkodra reconduct to a typical Mediterranean climate.
“Improving Cultural Tourism potential through the interventions at Rozafa Castle in Shkoder” consists of:
•PO1: Restoration of the Path outside the Castle
• PO2: Restoration of the castle museum along with the facade of the building, Courtyard no. 4, Rehabilitation of existing sanitary services (part of the bar-cafe structure), Rehabilitation of the water supply line according to the existing network
• PO3: Recreational area in courtyard no. 2, suitable for hosting cultural and artistic events.
• PO5: Intervention to improve lighting in the inner area of the castle, including the existing line network
• PO6: Restoration of two panoramic points in the castle area; 2. Consolidation intervention on the entrance walls to the castle.
• PO7: Expansion of the parking space for buses and vans and construction of new sanitary facilities in the parking area, at the bottom of the castle hill, in the Pazar neighbourhood
• PO8: Intervention in urban design such as placing benches, waste bins, touristic signs within the castle area.4. Client Address
