  1. Funding Details<\/strong>\n

    The above named client intends to use part of the proceeds of a loan from\/grant administered by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (the Bank) towards the cost of the above named contract(s).<\/p>\n

    Additional financing information:
    \nThe Albania Infrastructure and Tourism-Enabling Project \u201cthe Project\u201d is financed by the European Union through technical assistance and investments grants for a total amount of EUR 40 million, and by complementary sovereign loan facility provided by the EBRD to the Government of Albania. The Project is implemented by the Albanian Development Fund as executing agency (the \u201cClient\u201d) and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (the \u201cBank\u201d). The EU grants are identified by the EU in close cooperation with the Albanian Development Fund. Grant Recipient is: Republic of Albania.<\/p>\n

    2. Information on the Procurement Exercise<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Contracts will be subject to the Bank’s Procurement Policies and Rules and are open for participation for firms from any country, unless otherwise specified in the procurement documents.<\/p>\n

    The type of contract and the procurement method is stated above. A full description of the procurement exercise is available within the documentation and is available free of charge in ECEPP.<\/p>\n

    The documentation will include such information as: detailed technical and financial requirements; any information on lots; the expected outcome; eligibility and qualification requirements; contract start date; planned contract duration; any response requirements; any other relevant information.<\/p>\n

    This procurement exercise will be conducted using the EBRD Client E-Procurement Portal (ECEPP).     3. Other Information<\/strong>
    \nThe Reconstruction of the Sop Roundabout – Darzeza Bridge road section will be realized in the Municipality of Fier, located in the area of the Seman River. The project road starts at the intersection with the Fier-Vlore National Road, Apolonia district, continues along the Hoxharare road segment and ends at the new Darzeza Bridge.
    \nThe existing road is in very bad conditions due to the fact the no investments have been allocated over the last decades.
    \nThe road to be rehabilitated\/reconstructed is paved with ballast, in which potholes and large depressions are evident. It is noted that along its entire length, it is accompanied by a large drainage channel on the left side. The width of the body of the existing road varies from 3 to 6 m.The aim of the investment is to improve the access and connectivity of the Fier-Vlora national road with the coastal area of Dar\u00ebzeza, as one of the main tourist sites of Fier municipality.<\/p>\n
