The city of Rreshen is the main centre of the Municipality of Miredita and it has 14209 inhabitants. As one of the most important administrative units in north of the country, the reconstruction of Rreshen -Sheshaj axis is listed among the priority investments with high impact in promoting economy and tourism, as the area has considerable potential for further agriculture and livestock activities but also has mineral resources such as copper, chrome etc.<\/p>\n
After the 90s, there are identified large demographic movements, within this context also about 71% of businesses (and consequently the population) are located in Rreshen area (Census 2011). In this regard, the implementation of the project reduces travel time and costs, but also creates positive effect for the intensification of activities related to tourism and to the improvement of living conditions. The intervention in this axis was necessary in order to increase market access and increase employment in the area.<\/p>\n
The Albania Development Fund with the support of the Albanian Government is completing the segment, which intends to relieve movement, ensure safety of residents and beyond it. As an area with considerable productive activity and a secure market in agriculture and livestock, the road is bult on the existing trail, which connects the area with regional market but even wider it.<\/p>\n
Taking in consideration the study field and its assessment, but also the needs in accordance with the requirements of the residents and the Municipality of Mirdita, this project revitalizes the area and encourages people to develop more agribusiness and agritourism.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
