From 8-13 June 2009, University of Bologna and the Center for International Development in Italy organized the summer school entitled: " Monitoring & Evaluation of the International Programs and Public Policies: Poverty Reduction, Social Policies and Public-Service Delivery".
Present at this training session were also two employees of Monitoring & Evaluation Unit at ADF. The Monitoring & Evaluation concept has already become an integral part of the efficient and serious management of the programs and projects which are implemented by ADF. For many years now, this Unit has carried out its activity by setting milestones to further develop the quality of works and outputs related to Monitoring & Evaluation. Hence, this training contributes to the acquired experience in the course of these years by a more in-depth completion of the concept on Monitoring & Evaluation of the development programs and public policies aiming at poverty reduction and opening perspectives for a sustainable development.
The main topics of the training course dealt with the policies followed by International Institutions, by the governments of the developing countries and other institutions in poverty reduction and opening of development perspectives.
Administration and Public Management were information–oriented issues to current developments in these domains contributing in establishing a clearer vision via theoretical approaches and concrete practical examples.
Bearing in mind that ADF is a leading institution in the sphere of socio-economic development, the participation in this summer school, contributed in strengthening the vision of Monitoring & Evaluation through an efficient blending of institutional policies applied so far by ADF with the best experiences obtained from the International Institutions, and different countries of the world.
The experience obtained from this summer school shall contribute both in increasing the performance of M&E Unit and in the quality of activities carried out by this Unit.
