Tirana, June 25 2010 - Prime Minister Berisha participates at the demonstration of new technologies in road engineering construction in Berxull, Tirana


The Prime Minister Berisha participated on Friday 25th June at the demonstration of new technologies by Delia Construction and Wirtgen Group for the construction of new roads in the village of Domje in Berxull Commune. This activity was attended by the Minister of Public Works and Transport, Mr. Sokol Olldashi, the Executive Director of the Albanian Development Fund, Mr. Benet Beci and representatives of the local government. This new technology which is applied for the first time in Albania and in Balkans consists in a series of correlated processes and it enables the construction of roads within a short time and at low cost by making efficient use of the road geological consistency.

Prime Minister Berisha in his speech asserted that in the context of Government’s efforts to construct roads all over Albania, the application of this technology opens a new chapter at the right time: “ The new technology which consists in a series of correlated processes creates the possibility of construction at the shortest time-span engaged so far; it creates the possibility of construction which is not only faster compared to the previous constructions but also a construction of good quality and advantageous cost as well.

This technology ensures us that up to 2013 we are going to finalize in record time the asphalting, construction and reconstruction of 7000 km of road network.” Further on Mr. Berisha announced that every corner of Albania would get linked to the capital city within a much shorter time span than at present.

In his speech, Mr. Berisha also congratulated Mr. Benet Beci saying that: “I have to congratulate especially Mr. Benet Beci who in cooperation with General Road Directorate and the Ministry of Public Works became the promoter for the introduction and application of this innovative technology in Albania. I want to congratulate also “Delia” Company which together with its German partner becomes a pioneer in the application of this technology in Albania.”
